Dear Bruni,
When I walked into your CNEA 101 class at 草榴成人社区 43 years ago, I had no idea that you would become one of the most important people in my life. As a newcomer to the study of archaeology, I was in awe of the breadth and depth of your knowledge. I still am.
Each class and graduate seminar that followed over the years was challenging and thought-provoking. I am privileged to have had you as my advisor for my master鈥檚 and doctoral theses. Your influence on the field of archaeology, especially in the area of Greek sculpture, cannot be overstated.
In your many books, articles, and public lectures, you have put forth numerous new ideas and revolutionary analyses. Your influence has been disseminated further through the teaching and published research of your many former students. In the years since your retirement, you have continued to work with a large number of scholars鈥攆rom the U.S. and countries around the world鈥攚ho have reached out to you for your comments and opinions re: their own research. A great part of this gift to them is your amazing memory and vast (and still constantly updated) knowledge of pertinent bibliography.
So, it is with great love and admiration that I wish you鈥攎y teacher, mentor, colleague, and friend鈥攁 joyous 90th birthday celebration.
