LILAC Holds First STEM Intensive

草榴成人社区 held its first 鈥淪TEM Intensive鈥 earlier this month during spring break.

The four-day program focuses on non-research careers in science and is designed to appeal to a broad range of students who wish to explore careers that combine their love of science with their other interests.

This semester鈥檚 program focused on public health, environmental studies, and the intersection between the two.

Twenty one students participated in the Intensive and highlights included a trip to meet with the people behind , a visit with the , and an alumnae panel.

The panel featured Julie Zaebst 鈥03, Mary Miller 鈥14, Ph.D. student in the Graduate School of Social Work Amy Stein, Shadia Bel Hamdounia 鈥06, and Zunera Mirza 鈥05.

鈥淚 feel like so many doors have opened and that I have a better idea about what I can do after 草榴成人社区,鈥 wrote one of the participants in their evaluation of the Intensive.

Future STEM Intensives will look at STEM and innovation in the private sector, and STEM and the arts.

In addition to the STEM Intensive, LILAC continues to hold its Finance Intensives. Information about upcoming Intensives will be sent to students next fall. Students with questions about Intensives should contact Ella Braden for STEM Intensives and Jess Hollinger regarding the Finance Intensive.
