Shazia Rafi '79 was recently named a by The Metro N.Y. chapter of the U.S. National Committee.

The Metro N.Y. chapter of the U.S. National Committee is an independent non-profit organization that solely supports the work of United Nations Women—the United Nations entity for gender equality and the empowerment of women.

Rafi is an "advocate for women’s political empowerment, president of AirQuality/Asia, U.N. representative for All Pakistan Women’s Association, and former Secretary General of Parliamentarians for Global Action."
