32-Month Traditional Program
The GSSWSR offers a 32-Month Traditional program that can be completed with a combination of daytime, evening and weekend courses to meet the varying needs of our diverse student body.
32-Month Traditional Program Overview
- For all required courses, at least one section will be offered in the evening or Saturdays to accommodate student availability.
- Note: Should students have availability during the day, they are able to enroll in daytime courses at the GSSWSR.
- Please be aware that some electives are only available during the day.
- Please note, some courses are required in-person at the School of Social Work.
- This plan of study requires that students take summer courses between their second and third year to complete the program. Students may also take Summer courses between Summer I and II if they choose. meet twice per week. Each summer session (Summer I and Summer II) is five weeks long.
Practicum Education 32-Month Traditional Plan

- For students employed in human service organizations, work-site placements may be possible if approved by the Practicum Education office.
- Two-day/week option in practicum: Students may elect to carry out practicum placements two days/week in both Years 2 and 3.
