Workday Training

These are the Workday training courses that will be provided. More information, including a training schedule with registration links, will be available in September 2025; training will begin in November 2025.

Course Descriptions

  • Watch before taking any other Workday training course

This short video introduces all audiences to Workday with a focus on key terms, navigation, search, notifications, and account preferences. Using the Workday Mobile app is also included.

  • Take before specialized Workday trainings such as Expenses or Hiring

This course is for all staff and faculty who are NOT managers, or who manage students ONLY. Participants will learn about employee self-service functionality and key tasks that employees will perform in Workday such as submitting time off requests and viewing their paycheck.

  • Prerequisite: Introduction to Workday
  • Format: Class, Virtual, Video
  • Take before specialized Workday trainings such as Expenses or Hiring

This course is for all staff and faculty who ARE managers of non-student employees and should be taken before any specialized Workday trainings such as Expenses or Hiring. Participants will learn about employee self-service functionality and key tasks that supervisors will use to manage teams. This includes approval of time worked and time off.

This course demonstrates the time entry and pay processes for hourly, non-student employees.

This course demonstrates time entry and pay processes for student employees.

  • Prerequisite: Workday Essentials for Staff and Faculty or Workday Essentials for Managers of Non-Student Employees
  • Format: Class, Virtual, Video

This course provides those supervising student employees with an overview of recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and termination processes in Workday. It will also cover managing student time entry.

This course provides managers with an overview of recruiting, hiring, and onboarding processes in Workday.

  • Prerequisite: Workday Essentials for Staff and Faculty or Workday Essentials for Managers of Non-Student Employees
  • Format: Virtual, Video

This course is intended for employees who will manage budgets for departments, grants, and projects in Workday.

  • Prerequisite: Workday Essentials for Staff and Faculty or Workday Essentials for Managers of Non-Student Employees
  • Format: Virtual, Video

This course covers basic purchasing processes in Workday and is intended for employees who make purchases on behalf of the College, as well as staff who manage purchasing activities for their departments.

  • Prerequisite: Workday Essentials for Staff and Faculty or Workday Essentials for Managers of Non-Student Employees
  • Format: Virtual, Video

This course covers basic expense processes in Workday and is intended for College credit cardholders, employees who request reimbursements, and employees who approve expenses for their departments.
